Lecture by Stephanie Luce, associate professor at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst Labor Center

Stephanie Luce, a key player in the national living-wage movement, is the author of Fighting for a Living Wage (Cornell University Press) and co-author with Robert Pollin of The Living Wage: Building a Fair Economy (New Press).

Luce, who also directs the labor center, has researched the effects of globalization on jobs and workers and has tracked the global movement of jobs. Her other research interests include progressive economic development, organizing, independent political parties and low-wage labor markets.

Her visit is co-sponsored by the Economics Department, The Alice Drum Women's Center and Women & Gender Studies, with funding from the F&M Public Affairs Lecture Fund.
