Sr. Maruca Cypriano Lancerio is a Mayan woman and member of the Sisters of the Holy Family, a Catholic community of women in Guatemala. In 2001, Catholic Charities of Japan responded to Maruca’s request for economic support of her work in organizing Mayan women into economic cooperatives and emotional and spiritual communities.
